OCTAFLEX

The OCTAFLEX emptying station permits highly efficient and economic emptying of conventional octabins and big bags by means of vacuum conveying. Hereby, a vibrating suction head suspended from a rugged boom structure and fitted with a suction probe is lowered into the container. A sensor attached to the suction head is responsible for its automatic positioning and ensures that the suction probe is optimally filled with bulk material.

To maximise the degree of emptying, foil liners and big bags are lifted automatically by means of a lifting ring during emptying. Hereby, the bag or liner is formed into a conical outlet area around the suction head, which enables the remaining bulk material to be accessed by the suction probe. In addition, the suction head’s vibration supports product feed from the edge areas, resulting in a practically total emptying. Timing of the “Min level” message can be configured freely, and is indicated visually by a signal lamp.

Even in its basic version, the OCTAFLEX comes with a comprehensive set of features. Thanks to its flexible adaptation to different container heights and product requirements, the system is suitable for a wide range of applications.

Fully automatic emptying

Position the octabin centrally under suction head and lifting ring.

Position the big bag centrally under suction head and lifting ring.

Pull foil liner over lifting ring and fix it with bag clamps.

Hook the big bag loops to the lifting ring’s hook.

For optimum emptying, the foil liner is automatically pulled upwards by the lifting ring.

For optimum emptying, the big bag is automatically pulled upwards by the lifting ring.

During manual operation, the suction head and lifting ring can be raised and lowered via the PLC. During automatic operation, bag tightening and positioning of the suction head are automatic.
