BENDS

With our extensive collection of bending tools we manufacture high-quality bends for pneumatic conveying in all common diameters, radii and bending angles.

When designing the conveyor system, it is important to ensure that abrasive bulk materials (e.g. plastic granules with glass fibre content) are conveyed at low speed and through a larger pipe cross-section, even if the desired material throughput does not require it. The radii of the pipe bends should be at least 10d (radius = 10 x Ø) to prevent the conveying speed from increasing at the pipe bend exit.

Hardened stainless steel bends or glass bends have a much longer service life than stainless steel bends. After just the first replacement of a worn bend, it becomes evident that investing in a hardened stainless steel bend or glass bend would have been more cost-effective!
